IsItGOLD? 2.2: a guided scan, priced on today's market
Four coached photos, an optional size reference and weight, values based on the live spot price, and a confidence figure that explains itself.

Version 2.1 made everything around the scan easier. Version 2.2 changes the scan itself: how you take the photos, where the price comes from, and what the confidence figure tells you.
2.2 is out in the App Store, on Google Play and in the web app at app.isit.gold.
A guided scan, one photo at a time
Scanning now coaches you shot by shot. You take four photos instead of one, with framing help, a torch and live hints as you shoot.
Every photo is scored as you take it. If something is off, such as soft focus, glare or a busy background, the app says so. Retake it, or use it anyway.
Size and weight sharpen the estimate
Put a bank card, a €1 coin, a €2 coin or a US quarter in the shot, and the app can judge the size of your item. It is optional.
You can also enter your item's weight, which sharpens the estimate noticeably.
Priced on today's market
Estimated values now come from the live precious-metal price, not from what the AI remembers, so an estimate reflects today's market. Plated and gold-filled pieces are valued on what they are actually made of.
It is still an estimate, not an offer. What a dealer pays can differ.
A confidence figure that explains itself
The confidence figure now shows what raised and lowered it for your scan. More photos, a readable hallmark, a size reference and a weight all push it up.
Also in 2.2
- Exports: PDF reports and CSV files are now in your own language.
- Shared links open the scan itself instead of a near-empty page.
- Multi-photo scans: every photo shows up in your history, on the scan page and in the PDF.
- Sign-up: the screen no longer hides its own fields on small screens, and "Skip for now" works.
- Rewarded ads: an ad that does not add your scan credit now tells you so, instead of quietly doing nothing.
Update to keep scanning
Versions older than 2.2 can no longer scan. Update IsItGOLD? in the App Store or on Google Play, or use the web app at app.isit.gold. If your Android phone cannot install 2.2, the web app works in its browser.
None of this turns an estimate into a promise. It makes the estimate easier to trust: it is based on today's price, and you can see what shaped its confidence.
